 Alexandra Winteraven, LPC

(they/them)

A grounded and loving guide for any person wanting to fully embody themselves and embrace the complexity of who they are.

Rooted in decolonial and anti-oppressive praxis, I interweave history, tarot, astrology, human design, somatic therapy and energetic wisdom into the web of personal growth, healing, and transformation. My intention is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and can show up as you are.

My approach is process oriented, experiential, non-pathologizing, emergent, and relational. I believe you know at a soul level what you need to heal and transform. Viewing my role as someone who will hold a stong and safe enough container for you to get messy in, while also guiding you towards the way back home to yourself, so you can embody the most authentic, brilliant, and beautiful version of yourself.

I perceive myself as a curious learner, seeking to comprehend your story and origins, while finding ways I can be of service that fits your unique individual needs.

As a white, queer, trans nonbinary human, that lives in a small fat able body with a neurodiverse mind, I experience more privilege than marginalization. My journey from being raised in a working-poor family into a recent middle-class life has shaped my perspective and fueled my passion for social justice. I am committed to examining my own role in perpetuating systems of oppression and actively working to dismantle them, within and without.

I’m open to feedback within my work and appreciate when people point out areas where I may have blind spots. I’m committed to learning from my mistakes and actively working to understand my impact on others. If I have caused harm, I am committed to repair and making corrections.

I practice liberatory somatic psychotherapy on the traditional homelands of the Clackamas, Cowlitz, and Multnomah Indigenous peoples, now known as Portland, Oregon. My ancestors immigrated from Eastern Europe to Turtle Island in the late 19th century, specifically from Slovakia and the Baltics of Lithuania.

As a lifelong student of unlearning white supremacy and settler colonial ways of thinking and relating, I believe in the power of intersectional understanding and the importance of using my privilege to amplify and center marginalized voices. My own healing journey towards integration and liberation supports the work I do with others.

My demeanor is warm, compassionate, playful, collaboartive, consenual, and curious, as well as direct and no bullshit when our relationship is ready for this. I am humbled and honored to be a witness to your story and have the invitation to walk beside you along your journey.

Outside of the healing container I like to snuggle and play with my feline best friend, listen and dance to underground German techno and dark disco, solo adventure in and out of the wilderness, read 2-3 books at a time (finishing only one usually), deeply connect with chosen family and more than human beings, alchemize essential oils into potions, rest, speak truth to power, and dream of a world where everyone is free.

Astrological Influences: Aquarius Rising, Scorpio Sun, Pisces Moon

Human Design Influence: Generator with an emotional solar plexus authority
